The Weekly WORD

  • Electric Literature is hosting the last night of our Words by the Water series at the East River State Park, with readings from Katie Bellas, Marie-Helene Bertino, and Fiona Maazel on Monday the 27th at 7 p.m.
  • We’ll have a performance-art-filled reading with Phantasmagoria, an event series created by local author Leland Pitts-Gonzalez, on Wednesday the 29th at 7 p.m.
  • Teens and teens-at-heart will not want to miss our YA Night with Meagan Brothers, Patricia Dunn, and Louise Rozett, on Thursday the 30th at 7 p.m.
  • Book Group will discuss Jean-Christophe Valtat’s Aurorarama on Saturday, September 1st at noon, because whatever Labor Day.

And then it’s the first week of September (!) and we’ve got a panel on the ins and out of self-publishing, Gabrielle Bell and Julia Wertz, Steve Stern in conversation with Naomi Firestone-Teeter, Classics Book Group, and Music Writing Book Group.
