We love our readers, and we love what they have to say just as much. Here are some of our favorite comments from the week that was.
“People who know me think I have read Pride and Prejudice, and I can have a fairly decent conversation about it. But in reality I have only read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and looked up what the differences were.”

“Yes. YES. While Ms. Blume taught me so much about my self – especially learning new selves and navigating through the world with that new knowledge – Ms. Cleary taught me just as much about my family and in particular my relationship with my sister. Looking back, I love the idea that I couldn’t learn about myself, about Kate, until I figured out what it meant to be part of the Kate-and-Kim dynamic duo (that was not unlike Beezus and Ramona).”

“I think the best criteria to compare the prizes is whether or not these are still significant/talked about books years later, and based on that criteria, I went with the Pulitzer, with the Orange and ToB in close behind. All 3 seemed to consist of books that I would argue have thus far demonstrated they have some kind of staying power. We’ll see what these lists look like to us in another 10, 50, 100 years… “

“Bless me, bookriot, for I have sinned. I still sin; no library recently (like over a year) for me either. Buy many of my books from, um, that mammoth online store…the A. Should I wear a scarlet letter?”
